<Sinus & Cosinus>

The artistic practice of the duo Giulia Bowinkel & Friedemann Banz moves from painting to the field of the digital.
In the exploration of cultural viewing habits and current meta-aesthetics, their work takes the form of digital images, animations and installations. Their work is based on the question of the relationship between input and output and the transforming role of the computer as a medium. This also applies to the recording and evaluation of digital motion profiles as a source material for fluid calculations and the subsequent simulation of painting.

For the project 191°S in the Salon des Amateurs they work on the visualization of audio vibrations.
The sine tone, which is elementary for electronic music, is modulated by formula algorithms and used as a trigger for the image.
